If you are a leader with a passion for achieving results, you have a strong track record managing large organisations, and you possess excellent policy development skills, you are the person the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government is looking for.
An opportunity exists within the Department for a high-performing individual to join the Departments senior leadership team as Deputy Secretary. This multi-faceted role will suit energetic and enthusiastic person experienced in providing high level advice to government, and leading a large, complex and politically sensitive organisation.
We are a key federal government portfolio that plays a major role enhancing Australias infrastructure performance, fostering a stronger transport system, and developing Australias regions and local governments.
You will play a key leadership role facilitating policy development, program administration, regulatory functions and service delivery. You will also use your sound judgement and intellectual rigour to provide advice to the Minister, the Secretary, and the senior leadership group on key policy options, corporate governance, business planning, program and resource management.
You will play a key role delivering on the Departments commitment to establishing and maintaining strong and enduring working relationships with our stakeholders. You will also be the sort of person who motivates others by leading by example, with a commitment to achieving outcomes in a way that engenders respect.
